E.G.B. Reynolds, who was active at the Royal Small Arms Factory at Enfield lock, was the well-known author of the fine 1960 reference book "The Lee-Enfield Rifle".

He also co-wrote this piece for the U.S.A. enthusiast that was later published in the U.S. N.R.A. journal.

The article covered the 'modern' versions, commencing with the Enfield Pattern 1914 (P'14 Enfield Rifle No.3) rifle and the No.1 S.M.L.E., following up with the post-WWII variants.
